The Archer Lodge Community Center will be dedicating their newly renovated ball field on Saturday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m. It will become the Hoyt G. Castleberry Ball Field.

Hoyt was one of the original members of the Community Center when it was incorporated in 1963. He worked hard to help make this park a reality until his death in 1976. He was a past Johnston County Commissioner and a distinguished leader. He played semi-pro ball in the 40s.

Hoyt loved the game of baseball. He coached many Archer Lodge Little League teams. Hoyt was married to Zelma and they had two boys, Clyde and Tracy. Both boys are married and their families have remained actively involved in the Archer Lodge Community Center.

Please come out and enjoy this dedication ceremony and help kick off the 2017 baseball season in Archer Lodge!

Concessions will be available for purchase.
